Lets all put our big boy pants and big girl skirts on this Thursday morning and think on something. From the time we open our eyes in the morning till we drift to sleep at night...lets say those 17 hours that we are awake each and everyday. We are thinking all the time and making decisions be it just in our thoughts or from the words that come from our mouth or the action we are about to take. And who knows how many decisions we make each and everyday. Yes...its pretty remarkable how fast our brain works in that everything we do or say...in the split second before we say it or do it...we know if its right or wrong...good or bad...if its righteous or sin. You see...God created all of us with a "free will" to do what we want...when and how we want to do it...all the way to choosing heaven or hell for ourselves. We often like to blame satan...the world...circumstances...but you know what...the truth is...when we sin...every single time...100% of the time...the moment before we sin we make a decision whether to do it or not to do it. We give satan to much credit...and...the final decision to go through with the sinful act or word...we make that decision ourselves in that moment right before we do or dont do it. Remember the cartoon of a devil sitting on one shoulder and a angel on the other shoulder saying do it...dont do it....well its somewhat like that...but guess what...its our own heart and mind that makes the final decision to sin or walk away. We truly are most often our own worst enemies and when we sin we truly only have to look as far as the closest mirror to see whos responsible! Think about it!..and...the next time you say i just cant help it we all have a sin nature...remember....
No temptation has overtaken you that is not common to man. God is faithful, and he will not let you be tempted beyond your ability, but with the temptation he will also provide the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it.
