He specializes in skillful turnaround and planning of financial/operational structures for organizations valued at over $500M. Alan skillfully orchestrates business enhancements, identifying and addressing discrepancies and introducing new strategies to boost profitability and reduce expenditures. He brings extensive experience in public and private finance, accounting, finance, risk management, international business, commercial lending, mergers, acquisitions and divestitures.
Today, Alan serves as Chief Executive Officer for Lakeshore Recycling Systems, the Midwest’s leading independent recycling and waste solutions company. Under his leadership, LRS has experienced organic growth in excess of 75% and has acquired four competitors in the last 48 months. The Company has grown from approximately $60 million in sales and 220 employees in 2013 to over $160 million in sales and 750 employees in 2016.
Alan enjoys spending time with family and friends, traveling, diving, skiing and sailing. In 2013, Alan trekked to Everest Base Camp, and today he is leveraging the power of crowd-funding to help build a new school for children of Sherpa families affected by the devastating avalanche that killed 16 of their own in April 2014.
