If I bought a company and in turn this enabled them to do things they were otherwise financially unable to do I would consider myself as a financial backer. Some May consider it official and some may consider it unofficial six of one half dozen of the other what difference does it make? The difference is Apple now knows in the back of their mind they're going up against an elephant not a mouse now financially speaking, when it comes to litigation. If you were in litigation with a street bum and who had no money or very little you wouldn't be very afraid would you? But then if a Howard Hughes type came along and said hey buddy let's be friends you might then think a little differently. Maybe you don't realize how big SoftBank really is.
