"Indirect" in this particular case means that Credit Suisse Group (the parent company) filed the Form 4 on behalf of its investment-banking subsidiaries. This is explained in the footnotes of the actual filing:

p.s. I follow MRBX cursorily because I’m curious to see what becomes of Pradefovir for HBV. MBRX out-licensed it to VRX, who then decided they did not want it.
