One of the thing Lane never addresses is that the decline in Alzheimer's is not linear. That's why you have to have a placebo and that's why you don't have trials approved with two dozen patients. That way you can't claim a dozen patients might have eaten blueberries and affected the scores whereas only a few Placebo patients did. But frankly that's why some companies are afraid to run a trial like that early because if there's any question they can't get the funding to continue
