Disagree with the aspect of your first statement about credibility.

I think it is extremely helpful in trying to assess a post, if one has some info about the poster's interest in the stock he is posting about.

A person's objectivity about a subject can be significantly impaired by the type and degree of their personal interest in that subject. This is why we have conflict-of-interest rules that disqualify a member of a BoD from voting on - or even participating in discussions relating to - a subject in which they have a material personal interest.

Again, knowing whether a poster is long, short or holds no position helps to put their posts in perspective.
