To me a 2-3 year payback of investment should be a decent legitimate return in an oil investment. I've seen promoters indicating a "less than 1 year" payback. Some research from historical production in the drill areas can provide the possible future production on a project. My scam promoter told me "11 month returns!!" The real number??...more like 200 years!
