If the press release was communicated to the news agency releasing it , via phone, and Rick stated "Plastech," there's a certain amount of certainty that the news agency understood Rick to say "plastic" rather than "Plastech." That is the most plausible explanation for Plastic to be in the PR. Human error, that's all.
