Hi All,

This is Bruce with Sturgis Motocruzin. As the owner of Sturgis Motocruzin mentioned on this board we are in the process of transitioning the Motoped platform to an electric bike. We have two basic products - a 3000w motor and a 750w motor. For both motor platforms we use a 48v 40.6 ah lithium ion battery using Samsung 18650 cells. Depending on riding style and terrain the larger motor bike will go 40 to 80 miles - real world miles. This bike has a top speed in the low 40 mph range. It is not currently street legal. The 750w bike is street legal as it meets the definition of an electric bike - 750w and 20mph top speed. The range on this bike is more - 100 or more, again depending on riding style. We rode the 750w nearly 80 miles at full throttle. We can make any current Motoped model electric - but we see the Cruzer and Survival as the most likely to be purchased.

We will also sell kits to mount the motors and controllers into an existing motoped for people that want to do that.
