I am in total agreement with you, and I have often thought the exact same thing. They estimate down and then scoop up cheaper shares. The reason they’re doing it is because they have authorized billions of dollars in stock buybacks, otherwise it would be counterproductive to do this. But you have to factor in the buybacks.
