Talked to some people in Montreal with close ties to the McGill University Health Center (MUHC) and they told me the $2-2,5 million in government grants and loans is awarded through the Regional Economic Growth through innovation program and CED's Quebec Economic Development Program. That $2 million really stands out as most grants etc range from $50.000 - $500.000. It's Quebec's strong belief that artificial intelligence will create new sources of economic growth and bring wealth to the region. I tried to find out who Visualmed's partners are. Can't get any real confirmation but everybody's thinking it's McGill, they've always been their partner. McGill is leading the market here in AI-research so it's the best partner to have. Still in the dark who their partner is in Poland. The medical planning in Montreal is probably done by Michel Maksud and Medicool Health Systems inc. Medicool has done all research for Visualmed in the past and has a lot of experience building intelligent apps. I'll post here if I can find out more.
