I know all about this. It´s quite a complicated story. That years were the years of the internet-hype and the WOL-ipo was hyped big. There were a lot of international celebrity investors, like Tina Turner. The banks who did the ipo set the ipo-pps way too high at 42. Later came out that Brink sold (not all) her shares 9 months before the ipo (at a time she couldn't know the ipo-pps) to some other board members for 6. And then the pps began to drop big. Lot's of investors lost a lot of money. Shareholders were mad and said it wasn't in the prospectus. It turned out it actually was, but the price wasn't mentioned. People and newspapers blamed Brink, but in the end it wasn't her fault. She had nothing to do with the prospectus. It was written by the banks and some other boars members.

So in short: yes she sold pre-ipo, but it was 9 month before. There were lawsuits. WOL lost, but Nina Brink wasdn't to blame for it.
