Interview with Marat Sabirov, director of the Kazan branch of IC Freedom Finance. I like this as a summary expectation for 2019: The outgoing year will be called the year of positive acceleration.

Representatives of business and top managers of large companies are telling "Real Time" about what they remember the past year and with what expectations they meet the new one. The director of the Kazan branch of IC Freedom Finance, Marat Sabirov, is waiting in 2019 to improve the investment climate and Russia's integration into the world community “without fists”.

1. What was the most important event of 2018 for you and why was it impressive?

Since I associate myself with the company in which I work, I would note several business events. We finally consolidated the assets within the framework of Freedom Holding Corp., which is registered in the USA, merged the assets of Ukraine, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, and Russia into one holding company and moved to the top level of the listing of the over-the-counter market.

As for me, I have achieved a number of excellent indicators on the profitability of my personal investment portfolio - it accounted for more than 50% in trading various tools (stocks, bonds, ETF) - and began to actively engage in alpine skiing.

The outgoing year will be called the year of positive acceleration - all processes, both in the company and in family life, have acquired new meaning and quality.

2. What are your expectations and wishes for the new year?

We are engaged in portfolio investment, so we look at the overall processes in the economy and politics. It is important for us that the very investment climate in the country, about which there is so much talk now, is truly investment, and not speculative.

In 2019, we must continue the acceleration that we started and ensure that our company can successfully cope with the challenges that our rapid growth brings. Over the past few years, we have been dealing with an increase in assets through the purchase of interesting businesses, including in Russia. So we bought the company Tradernet and integrated it into our structure. We plan to conduct a number of transactions and at the same time develop what has always been at the core of the business, namely, a high-class service to ensure access to the world's leading stock markets.

For myself: I want to develop further and expand my knowledge in the field of investment and the stock market, because there is no limit to perfection.

I am waiting for positive changes so that our country in the world community continues to occupy a worthy place, so that we integrate nonetheless in a friendly way, without fists.

From my point of view, the Russian economy needs privatization in order for private capital to enter the business and make it more productive. For this, it is necessary to transform the corporate and state sectors and in many respects inefficient state corporations.

3.Choose three main words for the new 2019.

The first word is “change.” I think our country is ripe for this, we must accept them and develop in the world community positively and together. The second is “kindness”, because without this, neither the country, nor the company, nor the family can move forward. The third is “growth”, which will lead us to a new level.
