Does this sound right?...An increase in authorized shares, means eventually our shares percentage of the company is less than they were when we purchased them during a lower authorized share amount.
So say I bought a billion shares when the AS was at around 6b now its at 17b, a billion shares of 6b would be 1/6th. AS at 17b, a billion is only worth1/17th of the company.
...Seems like the monetary value of a share is determined by the market, regardless of what percentage it represents of the company.
