And the hot sideways action continues....

This is the stealthiest stealth accumulation I've ever seen.

The morbid fascination continues. I have to say Greasy being able to keep a stiff upper lip and stay positive no matter what makes me smile.

I'll tell you a story.

Quite a few decades ago. Some friends of mine went boating. And as Hawaii is wont to do...A freak storm kicked up. And they didn't come back in.

A father and most of his kids. His wife and oldest boy, & father were at the house. As you can imagine worried sick. The Pacific ocean is exceptionally unforgiving.

But the man's father had a stiff upper lip. "My son isn't dead. They'll be back." By the way, the father (Grandfather) was a war hero, a very big man and a man known for being a man of very few words. Fortunately, his son was a sailor.

After three days of this, people were giving up hope. By day five it was pretty silent in the house. People including myself, came by to show support. But nobody had much to say. Because after five days It wasn't looking good. And the wife got in a fight with her father-in-law because he just kept saying not to give up hope. And that if his son was dead, he would know it. They'll find them. Meantime the wife is thinking about making "arrangements." Then the Coast Guard said they were going to call off the search...

But my friends grandfather never once gave up hope.

They had been beaten to shit and blown off course...No engine. no radio. Apparently the father Put the kids below deck and stood Behind the wheel and Surfed the storm...Making sure they didn't capsize. On day seven, One of the boys miraculously got the radio working. A week. It was an Eternity.

The Coast Guard had called off the search. They were searching in the wrong place--you'd be amazed at how far off course they had been blown. You never saw so many people bawling their eyes out. Tears of joy & relief. Not their grandfather...All he said is: I told you so.

I wasn't there but I know there're tears in his eyes when he hugged his son at the dock. I know this is so because many people said ever after that that was the only time dancing the man cry. Ever. Not even at his wife's funeral.

That's how I picture Greasy IF this thing goes; in some hotel room, surrounded by hookers & cocaine, with tears in his eyes...
