Not if you read articles about many prior companies that were dead meat. One bagholder who held shares in K Mart long after its death was public was unable to rationalize her imagination and said the least the company could do was provide gift certificates for shareholders.
There are people who like their own reality, so are willing to take what they think is a chance for what could be a big gain because the reality of a solid concrete wall in the way is just a maybe to them. They claim concepts like "investing is a rigged game so it is worth a chance" to justify their actions.
