Government of Manabi Province Attracts Partners to Join One of the Largest Projects of its Kind

MIAMI--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Interlink Global Corp. (OTC:ILKG - News), today announced that it has executed a final agreement with local partners and authorities of the State of Manabi, Ecuador, South America. This agreement creates a Private Telephone Company, which will serve the entire State of Manabi with Broadband Internet Connection, Voice over Internet Protocol telephony, data communications and other applications using the infrastructure provided by Interlink. The new company will be named Manabitel, and will include local investors from Manabi, a group from Guayaquil, and Interlink Global Corp. Interlink will provide the technical know-how and operational expertise for the partnership, while the other partners provide the financing and licensing for this unique project. Local investors and Interlink will contribute an estimated $15,500,000 million in startup capital to Manabitel, with a group from Manabi, (Manatel) owning 40%, the group from Guayaquil, owning 30%, and Interlink owning 30% of the capital of the company.

The creation of Manabitel is the result of concerted efforts on the part of the government of Manabi and its officers to attract and promote new business and investments in the area. The overall plan includes building new roads, a new refinery, and port facilities, as well as the design and implementation of a world class communication system, which Manabitel will provide. The first phase will be developed using Interlink Global's platform connected by way of satellite, wireless Internet, Wi-Fi, and Wi-Max, with succeeding stages to include ground networks consisting of: microwave radio, optical fiber and traditional copper wire lines.

According to Severino Rivano, Vice President of Interlink, who has previously developed similar projects in Nigeria and Mexico, "This project constitutes one of the largest of its kind in Latin America to date, and is indicative of the potential that exists for Interlink in the development of communications and data transfer projects in other underserved and underdeveloped areas. Interlink has similar projects under development. I'm referring to not only to Ecuador, but also to Colombia, as well as Bolivia, Brazil and Argentina, among others."

Mr. Rivano continued, "With a current population of 1,128,000 the Manabi region is grossly underserved in telephony. Through the development of Manabitel, the goal of the local government is to serve a large percentage of these underserved individuals and companies through the development of high speed Internet data transfer and Voice over Internet Protocol, (VoIP). The government and Interlink together are committed to hire and train the Manabi work force to provide technical support and customer service. This means that the government's involvement along with Interlink's is not only the development of a state of the art communication system, but also the creation of work opportunities for the local professionals and in general the people of Manabi Province."

Mr. Anastasios N. Kyriakides, Chairman & CEO added, "The need for clear, high quality communication, long distance telephony, and access to the World Wide Web and to E-Commerce is critical for the continuing development of the area. By immediately employing the latest technology to develop a modern telecom infrastructure, we are confident that we are responding to the area's pressing needs."
