good luck on the build- you right, material costs are out of control and of inferior quality. last time i went to HD for some treated 4x4's and stud 2x4's, i had to go through the entire pallet just to find 10 acceptable pieces. warped crap, young trees, even the kiln dried stuff is crap. and don't get me started on plywood costs. jeezus.
