Here's a couple of interesting "stocks for cowards" or "stocks for Trump times." I've long owned some Closed End Investment Funds [CEFs]. I currently have a small amount of ADX, the Adams Diversified Equity Fund, a broad portfolio of blue chip stocks now selling about 15% UNDER Net Asset Value. It's like buying SPY at 15% discount! ADX has low management fees and pays a managed divided of at least 6%. Its real portfolio dividend is probably around 2%. https://www.cefconnect.com/fund/ADX
For years I've considered the sister fund to ADX, Adams Natural Resources [PEO] which holds oil and chemical stocks... but currently at an 18% discount to NAV which is the most I've ever seen. Its largest holdings are Exxon and Chevron and about 50 other stocks. Yield is currently over 4%. https://www.cefconnect.com/fund/PEO
ADX's inception date is October 1, 1929. PEO is even older!!!
Both funds trade on the NYSE and are fairly gimmick free with almost no leverage, rarely any ROC. Of course the NAV will fluctuate and could even go to a premium. Maybe even To Da Moon!
