The significant difference between SMSI's 3Q "pro-forma" financial results and the actual "GAAP" numbers might explain some of the weakness right after those results were reported.

Not to worry IMO, SMSI's strong top line revenue growth and high margins will wash out all of those accounting write-offs in a few quarters.

The coming battle between shorts and institutions is what I'm watching here. Have never seen anything quite like the current SMSI holders profile, i.e., check out the "statistics" page on Yahoo. It shows that insiders and institutions hold ~70% of the float and that there is a 36% short position!!!!??? Yikes! Tilt!

With a 6.74 million short position on a ~20 million float issue that is mostly in strong hands that are still buying, things could get really exciting for SMSI longs at any time.
