The words we speak really matter...because...even though our words come from the thoughts in our mind...when we get down to the bottom line of what we say...those words come from our heart. Yes...even though things can come out of a persons mouth sometimes and they think...where did that come from. I believe everything we say ultimately comes from the stuff we have stored in our heart from things we listen to...watch...take part in...from sin that is tucked away in our heart and eventually it is going to come out be it in word or deed. Ive heard it said...every word we speak can either be a brick to build people up or a bulldozer to destroy them. Whatever is stored up in a persons heart will sooner or later be expressed by their words. Be careful what you look at...read and think about. Fill your heart with good things and you will think good thoughts...speak good words and bear good fruit. Jesus says..."Out of the overflow of the heart the mouth speaks. Good people bring good things out of the good stored up in them, and evil people bring evil things out of the evil stored up in them." James talks about how that little member of our body...the tongue...how destructive it can be...he relates to a spark setting a forest fire. However...on the other hand lead by the Holy Spirit...all the good that can come from our words in building people up...in uplifting and encouraging words. Theres a ole saying...if you got nothing good to say about someone just dont say nothing at all. Lives can be ruined by the simple words coming from our heart....i say simple words yet we know they are often anything but. How do we let the light of Jesus shine from us...well...its not by acting like the world thru our words and deeds. Think about it!
