progressives have now displaced a majority of corporate-owned "establishment" democrats in the House due to the mid-terms, so they will dictate the priorities of the House (not corporate owned Pelosi).

Pelosi's son is an invested board member in Freedom Leaf MJ, for whatever that's worth to this discussion. I think he is a VP.

While not top on the list, it is on the list of priorities for progressives and democrats. It could happen next year if the Senate will support it. It may take the next administration to de-schedule it

I actually believe President Trump would not deep-six this. I think if he saw the majority of the country leaning toward legalization of MJ, I believe he would support it. While I usually don't have much love for progressives, (because they tend to want to go too far), I hope you are right about progressives pushing this forward.

Now, since I'm from Kentucky I'll make this comment. While Sen. McConnell has been a champion of the Farm Bill and Hemp plant production, I think he would vehemently be opposed to legalization of MJ. Why? Because the religious voter base here usually pushes against anything deemed immoral. A lot of votes would be at stake. We are a state of paradoxes. We are the Bourbon capital of the world, and have gambling through the race horse industry and the state run lottery. But in pockets all over this state you will see opposition to new bars, liquor outlets, strip clubs, nightclubs, even dance halls opening. Many 'local option' elections each year. I saw a liquor referendum here in the county in which I live that has been defeated for over 50 years, PASS during this past November election. So . . . things ARE slowly changing here.

I think Rand Paul would support legalization of MJ, just don't have a feel for the extent he might go for.
