mngt... Sorry, I'm going to call you on the ad costs you stated. The part about the signed agreement is correct, but my wife has been retail management for over 15 yrs, and I've been in and out of retail management myself.... It's in Gnf filings that Gnf assumes ALL costs, meaning they pay a standard ad fee to CC., CC has it's own inhouse ad, marketing and printing departments so it most likely doesn't cost them much at all. Part of CC doing business...Gnf has been responsible for shipment, confirmation and all affiliated costs involved as spelled out in Gnf filings.
CC assumes no risks or costs when dealing with Gnf as Gnf is just another vendor seeking shelf space with CC. Make no mistake, Gnf pays to be in the circular.... I'm speculating that if any holiday push happens with Gnf and CC, it's because Gnf paid CC for more name branding in the stores.... Gnf has been in Troy, Michigan since late may 06, and I've never, never seen even a small logo on any CC TV ad... and after more than 20 trips in 6 months have never seen one flier, floor ad, stand ad or front door entry cards, flier..etc,etc... That is FACT. What does this tell me?... JF won't or can't pay CC for any special treatment and CC is under no obligation to assume an active role. The CC and Gnf filings were vague at best, but were clear enough to see it was all up to Gnf NOT CC to push this product... It was so nice to see a real sub penny product out in the wild ... but I fear it was a relatively inexpensive attempt at name recognition and not a true venue stream... just my op of course... yours may vary
