Holy Cow, the Geotraq Website got a Wholsale Makeover

www.geotraq.com

And on closer inspection they are claiming "Go Puck" has been using the G200 Module. No real word on if this is a real Success Story or just Fluff. Then looks like they are giving details of the so called Next Gen Module called NB-400. Seems they have picked Sequans 4G/LTE Chipset. No mention of which one. My educated guess is they picked the NB-IOT Monarch N. They are claiming a 2Q 2019 date for availability.

The Partner's Page also is of interest. They are mentioning Thingstream. And yes, Thingstream has a 2G/3G Device yet more importantly the Parent Company "Myriad Group" has the Telecom Backend. I would suspect Geotraq is reusing their offerings. Essentially, there is a monthly supscription service charge for the amount of USSD/SMS Messages you would be sending per device. So they are just becoming a Reseller.

Now if this new module works this puts them in a large "MeToo" pool of Telecom Hardware Vendors. Nothing indicates a competitive advantage here other than quite possibly being a low cost "Bottom Feeder" that will attempt to sell to customers that are not going to do their homework.

Pretty funny on Gregg making claims on inventing MQTT. In reality, MQTT was created back in 1999 by two guys, Andy Stanford-Clark of IBM and Arlen Nipper of Cirrus-Link. I really wonder about this guy's sanity.
