On the day that AMD broke higher out of its triangle pattern, the semiconductor index was also breaking higher out of its roughly-equivalent pattern. Even $SPX broke above its declining-high trend line on the same day. They all retreated below their respective Sup/Res lines two days later. At best, $SPX is now at least a week away from reaching that line again.
FWIW, there are E-Wavers around who think $SPX goes much lower from here.
