SPXL is the 3X bull S&P etf I mentioned. It's opposite 3X bear S&P is SPXS.
Remember that TVIX is a volatilty etf that is based on VIX etf. VIX measures volatility in the S&P 500 so the correlations are not exact between TVIX and the straight S&P 500 etf's.
Trading the volatility generally produces bigger price movement swings and thus has greater risk.
