Interesting how this downdraft in tech affects Spectrum Pharma.

It's amazing to me how the possibility of a trade war that will largely affect global tech companies, and in general, global companies that participate in the Chinese market, affects small biocaps such as SPPI that have no skin in that game. Tech stocks such as Apple (-3%), Advanced Micro Devices (-8%), and Microsoft and Amazon both fell more than 4% yesterday. Ditto on large exporters such as Boeing (-2.6%), and Caterpillar (-3.8%). Spectrum, w basically 100% of sales in the US w possible sales or licensing agreements expected in the near to mid term in the EU, will not be affected and yet it's taking a hit just like these global players in China are. Think about it, Spectrum will be expanding their sales whereas the Apples of the world could be taking a major hit. It's crazy that SPPI is taking the same hit as Apple when you think of it that way. Apple, has to be concerned big time w their phones competing w Huawei whose CFO got detained this week in Canada at the request of the US, Spectrum not at all (Please don't use CASI as a counter argument that would be laughable). At the end of the day, my lodestar is in the execution of their pozi, and to a much lesser extent Rolontis, plans. All else is just noise but damn those algos!
