MMEX’s stranded, isolated location is roughly 21-miles north-northwest of Fort Stockton.

The site lies on the Central Basin Platform (CBP), a geological structure within the greater Permian Basin, that roughly divides the Midland Basin (a sub-basin of the Permian) from the Delaware Basin (the western sub-basin).

Portions of the CBP were the earliest, and most shallow reservoir structures in the Permian that were gas-rich, but were largely tapped out in the late ’70’s given that era’s vertical well technology. MMEX’s site is located in a portion of the CBP that used to be a natural gas reservoir, mostly sour gas, along with the TexasGulf sulphur mine - the ruins of the latter are about 4-miles north of MMEX’s site as the crow flies.

For the most part, the CBP is no longer productive, although there is now exploration activity in the region around Fort Stockton, south of MMEX. The current production regions lie largely north-northeast of MMEX’s site in the Midland Basin, and the most productive region, the Delaware Basin, particularly the Southern Delaware Basin, well west and south of MMEX’s site.

But none of that really matters - MMEX is a share-selling scheme, not an energy sector business. Even if MMEX were real, its location, scale, and proposed configuration would make it economically immaterial, and not viable in the region.

Hey PC, is that near the MMEX refinery site?

When you are dead, you don't know that you are dead. It is difficult only for others. It is the same when you are stupid.
