...Last night while i was taking my walk...i heard in the not so far distance a ambulance heading in route to the hospital on the Ashville highway with sirens blaring. And in that moment i thought how in the blink of the eye...life can change from a accident at home or in the automobile...or...something in our fragile body goes wrong from sickness or disease. And in that moment i stopped and said a short prayer. Father...the person in that ambulance just now...if they know you not...let this be what would draw them to you that they be saved...give them the opportunity to hear You and repent....and...bless them in their need as they head to the hospital as Your Will would be done. You see...for me...i often pray for people...prayer request that i see here on Facebook..i read the request and i say just a short prayer...i mean...i really stop right then and there and say that prayer...not just say that i will. I see people on the street and in the stores or when im driving down the road...and i say a quick prayer...just as we would do when "prayer walking" if you have ever done that. But for me...when i pray for someone...just like this person in the ambulance...i "first" say to God...if they are not saved...i pray first for their salvation...then...i lift them up for what ever need they may have for Gods hand of blessing upon them...because...i believe...that first and foremost...people need that relationship with Jesus...to be born-again...before any other need in their life. Just as the paralyzed man that the four friends lowered thru the roof to Jesus in scripture to be healed. Jesus first forgave his sins and then Jesus healed him of his affliction. So when i pray...its nothing fancy...its actually pretty short and to the point...because...as we know...Jesus already knows what is going on...i just want to lift that person up...with faith...for Gods awesome hand upon them...because...in todays world...most of those folks may have never had a prayer lifted up to Father God concerning them...not even once in their life...and that my friends...is tragic...but that is also...the world we live in!
