UCLA Terahertz tech..

Fascinating. Massive potential in all kinds of areas. In terms of communications, Terahertz tech has to overcome attenuation in atmosphere. Not viable on satellites. Yet, UCLA claims to have demo a successful long range link. It also requires directivity but mitigates the distortion/dispersion properties of laser beams.

ABWN could utilize this tech I think with the TDT software, GE pointing tech and airborne mesh. Challenge is the distance. Can Terahertz tech be employed over longer range of many miles?

Seems to me the tech may have other applications in combination with ABWN. Would be ripe for a partnership/JV or venture funding...

I ask. Why wouldn’t Facebook be interested in Terahertz air-ground trials just like they were with Mynaric Air to ground? Goes to the question why were they interested in first place? IMO, probably because satelite May beam lasers to each other flawlessly but have a big problem delivering it to the surface for multiple challenges and RF is too slow and clogged long term.
