I see the bankruptcy as Falk's way of walking away from edig while having to do as little as possible.
He could have stayed on and closed the door and liquidated the assets, with BOD approval. But that would have meant staying on and answering a lot of tough questions, such as "If the tech/patents (for those you who can spell) are so valuable, why can't you find buyers for them?"
Instead he punted the ball on third down and then took his players off the field as soon as it was kicked so he would not have to play the remainder of a losing game.
