Gold and all heavy metals (heavier than iron) can only be created through a collision of neutron stars. How rare is that? Then they blast off into space where they are collected into new solar systems.

I used to be a big gold and silver believer, but try paying someone in gold. It all has to be cashed into paper bucks first--just like Bitcoin. Bitcoin is superior in a way because you can pay someone a fee who lives halfway around the globe. Try mailing gold--or even dollars. It's tough. It's hard to do a bank transfer between two countries.

The oligarchs will create their own form of digital money soon enough--and then humanity will get good and enslaved. DIGAF will be at zero at that point.
