I think APHA is going to catch the shorts off guard with a killer PR and hopefully a share buy back. At least they should do something like that. They need to do something but I am sure their legal counsel is on top of whatever they do or say..We shall see what goes down.

Found this on stockhouse.
Long read but very good:

Some of the things you guys might not be aware of from DD being done by redditors. And also to counter balance some of the blatant garbage posting to spread fear and despair...

In the QE "report" they claimed jamaica just had an empty building, and marigold didn't exist, and neither did any of the dispensaries. To highlight how distorted and BS their claims are and how they manipulate the readers here is a quick example.

They claimed that one of the dispensary sites didn't exist, they said it was "unit 51" which didn't exist, and posted this picture.
https://i1.wp.com/hindenburgresearch.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/12/16.2-min.png?resize=768%2C480&ssl=1

Someone from reddit went to the jamaica sub, and a redditor from jamaica went to that site. The dispensary is in unit 38a not unit 51, which is literally about 50 feet from the picture QE posted so it's impossible for them to not have walked around the building and seen it. Incredibly misleading and deceptive on their part.

Here is a photo taken of the marigold dispensary that "doesn't exist" https://imgur.com/a/2lyqDKn

As well as the inside of the sensi house seen here https://pikstagram.com/media/Bp4pvLogyKN

As for the abandoned building they found, they spun it as though it was the MAIN headquarters for marigold. Which it isn't. People in the Jamaica reddit said it is common for address changes to take a long time and for things to not get updated in that country as bureaucratic matters can take a VERY long time and government workers are very slow + unmotivated in these matters.

Also not sure if you guys have seen it, Andy posted videos of marigold's grow in jamaica

As well as GoBlue another redditor posted pictures of jamaica's marigold grow in jamaica

To date, marigold has harvested approximately 3000kg (which is more than cannimed produced annually when it was purchased for over a billion dollars by aurora cannabis....) Why are all these things important? It highlights the motives, and deception taking place in the report. These guys aren't there to expose a company, they are there to exploit a company and to make as much money as possible essentially stealing from panicked investors. It's really disgusting.

They CLAIMED marigold didn't exist, and falsely with intention presented a very skewed presentation that made marigold appear not to exist. Well it does, and that is why these pictures are important.

Also, haywood securities estimates (using VERY conservative low ball numbers, much much lower than aurora and canopy + other large LPs) that aphria's price with a 15x EBITDA to be 14-18$ a share based on canadian assets alone. The other LP's are trading at MUCH MUCH higher ebitda multiples.

As for the colombian operations, they have 31 acres of land with the ability to add many more hectares, with an estimation production capacity of 30-50,000kg annually within the next 2 years. But more importantly, with this license they are able to EXPORT **AND** IMPORT into and out of the country. Which means canadian cannabis can be sold in colombia as demand dictates until the colombian market gets fleshed out.

In the report they also claimed APB was just some shitty pharmacy in argentina. As stated in the aphria NR, it actually distributes and supplies dozens of pharmacies, and has a warehouse + distribution centre. But more importantly APB has a license which allows for the IMPORT of cannabis products. This is pretty awesome for getting the foot in the door as latin america slowly moves towards legalization.

And lastly I would like to remind everyone about short and distort campaigns, why they are illegal, and why they are so hard to prosecute.... And why you should take every comment you read in discussions with a grain of salt.

This QE report wasn't picked up by a sharp investor, it was SPAMMED across every internet forum possible. In short and distort campaigns, multiple accounts will be made and the discussion board will be flooded with troll accounts that pretend to be normal investors that spew more doubt and steer the narrative towards the short attack being fundamentally sound (It doesn't have to be true, they just have to convince people that everyone thinks it's true). Pretty much exactly like this part in the simpsons, it illustrates it perfectly.

If you look at a lot of these accounts, they will have very little history, will post infrequently, and are basically ghost accounts with some lipstick on them to make them look real at a cursory glance.

This is super illegal, but really hard to track these people down.

Also, hindenburg research as well as clarity springs is currently being sued for a similar short and distort attack. This is posted by a redditor.

"Two names of importance are mentioned in this subpoena: Hindenburg and Clarity Spring Securities.

Hindenburg appears to have evolved from the short and distort on Eros. But what is more interesting is the mention of a small player in last year’s short attack: Clarity Spring Securities. Why is this interesting? Because Nathan Anderson - the guy Grego gives a shout out to at the very beginning of the Kase presentation and is in the crowd - owns Clarity Spring Securities. See for yourself: http://www.clarityspring.com/nathan-anderson-ceo/

Anderson is mentioned by Grego here as well “The idea for his Aphria short, Grego said, came from researcher Nathan Anderson, who published his own report on Aphria Monday morning on SeekingAlpha, under the moniker Hindenburg Investment Research.”

Link: https://www.barrons.com/articles/marijuana-stock-aphria-down-on-short-seller-report-1543855963

We are missing the entire subpoena, so it is unclear who was part of Hindenburg - but the wording in the table of content implies multiple players were using the name as a vehicle in their short and distort attack (that eventually proved to be false, after the price dropped 75%)

EDIT: Anderson published his aphria piece on SA under the Hindenburg banner, but it’s unclear based on this partial subpoena if he was ever part of the original Hindenberg group. His company Clarity Spring appears as a separate entity (with less than 30k capital) Therefore, I wonder - in his decision to write in 2018 with the Hindenburg moniker - we can assume a similar group of illegal shorters are involved in this week’s Aphria short and distort campaign"

As you can see, clarity springs is essentially a shell company worth only 30,000$, so when it comes time to sue there is basically nothing to sue, if they can even find the people behind the illegal activity in the first place.

Anyways some food for thought. Don't let these scumbags steal your money by scaring you into selling. I know it's painful to look at your balance right now, but if you hold through this there is light at the end of the tunnel, based on the profitability of the canadian assets alone.
