I have all confidence the tumor-will-be-destroyed! It will respond as the others have, as it will be burned up from the inside out, by the radiation in the IsoPet treatment...

Whether the dog's immune system can then process the removal of such a large amount of necrotic tissue as the half pound mass without developing secondary infections will be the main issue to his immediate survival, imo. And, of course, if the primary tumor is cured, there is still the issue of the metastatic lung tumor, so this is really a study about survival time, tumor reduction, and the ability of the body to process a large necrosis, and not necessarily about survival...

This is plainly stated in the PR below... expectations for a total cure are very low for this study, but it will be a very good study. And hopefully the patient will survive for some good amount of time... IMO
