In fact, over te last decade most of the left winger populists elected in Latin America have disappointed doom criers by running toward the left and then governing towards the middle. We have seen it in Peru, Ecuador, and Brazil, just for a start. Whether this happens with AMLO remains to be seen. I do at a minimum expects wage costs to rise, given the background of the new mines minister, but of course wage increases are good for social license, always an issue in Mexico.

As to any other effects from his election, we will just have to wait and see. I recommend you read this for a more in depth background.
