My biggest stock market fear for 2019.

Overall, the stock market as measured by the DJ average, has had a great run the past 2 years. Up from about 18,000 in Nov. 2016 to about 26,000 in Nov. 2018. That's about a 44% gain.

However, call it a "Trump" run or whatever, much of this move was made up to Jan. 26, 2018. The rest of 2018 was basically flat to down slightly. Right now the DJA is up about 3% from the close of 2017.

Anyway, my biggest fear for 2019 is the fear of an impeachment spectacle provoked by the Democratically controlled House of Rep. followed by the blow back from Trump and the Republicans that will surely follow.

We all all know how the markets hate "uncertainty". And regardless of whether or not there is any real economic damage done because of these events, I expect that the fear and uncertainty caused by these events could have a materially adverse effect on the stock market in 2019.

As usual, I'm hoping for the best, but planning for the worst.

Happy New Year. lol
