Base engine option would preserve fleet sales.


100 hp in a 1500 lb car sounds like it might turn off fleet purchasers.


Whoever they buy the new engine from, I am hoping they also have a base engine option close to original parameters.


The whole thing smacks of a mistake unless the top horsepower they mention is just the top option.

The Elio itself is too low and sporty. I think commuters would better appreciate something functional-looking and comfortable, like a Chevy Spark.
