XYOSTED™ - A Novel Subcutaneous Testosterone Auto Injector Product Approved For Once-Weekly At-Home Therapy

EWING, N.J., November 29, 2018 — Antares Pharma, Inc. (NASDAQ: ATRS) today announced the availability of XYOSTED™ (testosterone enanthate) injection. XYOSTED™ is the only FDA approved subcutaneous testosterone product for once-weekly, at-home self-administration with an easy-to-use, single dose, disposable QuickShot® auto injector. XYOSTED™ has been
approved in three dosage strengths, 50 mg, 75 mg and 100 mg and is indicated for testosterone replacement therapy in adult males for conditions associated with a deficiency or absence of
endogenous testosterone (see Indications and Usage below). XYOSTED™ was approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (“FDA”) on September 28, 2018.

“We are extremely pleased that XYOSTED is now commercially available for adult males diagnosed with medical conditions associated with testosterone deficiency. We believe XYOSTED provides a new treatment option for patients that is easy to use, virtually pain free while providing steady testosterone levels on a weekly basis,” said Robert F. Apple, President and Chief Executive Officer of the Company. “To enhance the patient experience during the launch of this novel treatment option, we are putting in place a comprehensive support program that is designed to offer co-pay assistance to most commercially insured patients, as well as benefits investigation and a prior authorization support service for physician’s offices in order to help ensure prescriptions are filled in an efficient manner. When a physician determines that XYOSTED is the right option for a patient diagnosed with testosterone deficiency, most
prescriptions will be dispensed at a local pharmacy.”
