Im sure y'all have heard the story about a woman driving down the street one day and she pulled up behind a man at a red light. She looked at his car and saw a bumper sticker on the back that said, “Honk if you love Jesus.” So the light turned green and as she got in the left lane to pass him she beeped her horn a few times and waved. Well...apparently that struck a nerve with the man. He had forgotten about the bumper sticker so he threw his hands up in the air making a hand gester and started yelling at her out his window. She couldnt tell exactly what he said but you can know for sure it wasnt “Jesus loves you.” As a born-again believer...we are going to live our life under a microscope by unsaved folks. When people find out your a Christian their going to look at how you live your life and make a judgment by seeing your attitude toward others and how thankful you are to God for the life and circumstances you have been dealt. Yes...they are watching to see how you handle problems..adversity and sickness in your life and making note whether there really is something different about you...or...you are reacting and responding just like any other human on planet earth. Fair or not thats how it goes! So how do we live in front of a watching world? Do people see a difference in us? Does the light and love of Jesus shine from us all the time are just now and again? When people deal with us on a daily basis do they come to want what we have...Jesus. Do we confuse the unsaved because we walk in a loving caring way but as soon as something bad crosses our path or our patience is tried we fly off the handle to some degree? Do we often live life saying things we shouldnt...going to places that dont reflect Christ...letting the world get to us to the point of showing our hind end and giving the unsaved a ring side seat with a grin on their face! Is it really any wonder the unsaved often call christians hypocrites? Remember...when we tarnish...so to speak...our witness and testimony to a lost and dying world...its usually tarnished for good. So...serve the Lord passionately and youll be a powerful witness to a watching world. Remember...we should be glorifying God in EVERYTHING we do and say!
