Wouldn't touch it with a ten-foot pole ... yet.

MU still has the stigma of being a memory-only company and some of that concern will remain through the remainder of this quarter and well into the next quarter. So maybe I would be interested when it gets down to -- oh, let me see -- around $29-ish.

Looking at that chart below, it looks like it's about ready to turn down again. Keep your eye on that fork and those yellow dashed lines. The sign of a bottom will be when price breaks to the right of the fork -- over the top -- then it will trade flat for awhile (and that's highly tradeable). Next earnings report will be about three weeks into December.

AMD and most other chip manufacturers do not have that memory-only stigma so they can have a much higher PE ratio based on many more speculative factors. So I think I'm sticking with AMD for now.

The red line marks a major top in late 2014 (which also has a lot to do with the yellow lines).
