The high volume is simply caused by trading between the Market Makers, buying and selling back and forth, the same share is being traded multiple times. It does not make sense that the high volume is the result of investors loading up and investors dumping shares, as for each share bought there must be a share sold, which investors would dump tens of million shares in the past 4 months while situation is improving and why. Market Makers have big hot money, if they all buy up simultaneously on good news, share price will go to da moon.
