A rare 2018 big winner for me. United Technologies has been trying for ages to complete acquisition of my Rockwell Collins (COL).

The many merger pieces came together including the fat share price of about $140 PENDING approval by China. Then Trump has one of his tantrums and completion drags for months. My shares start falling, down to $129 as the market retreats and the deal starts looking fragile.

Anyway, yesterday China blessed the merger and COL shot up to $141, $93 in cash and the rest in UTX stock. Should close in a few days.
