Ash the R&D agreement, unless with a university, pretty much guarentees M&A unless few viable products can be created. So far evidence suggest many potential products but little confirmation to date.

If the R&D agreement was with a university I doubt they would have hid it in such a manner. Example they announced their development with Texas A&M in a press release even if condensed in form.

To me the timing of Zimmers additions to their board of directors, those directors specialties, & Si3N4 anti-viral ability show another synchonicity between the two companies.
