Yep Zimmer. The foundation of the argument is simple. Amedica has the best material to move orthopedics into the future, Zimmer needs something new to differentiate it from its competitors, & the companies are extensively connected.

Zimmers been behind the scenes since its acquisition of Centerpulse and Centerpulse was there beforehand.

That doesnt mean other companies cant use Si3N4 for their implants as Sintx and Zimmers gameplan is licensing through OEM. The R&D agreement only makes sense with a large competitor that can utilize Si3N4 across an extensive portfolio. Zimmers recent board additions suggest to me its looking to expand beyond just orthopedics. Its an odd coincidence this was done after it was discovered Si3N4 is also anti-viral! I suspect Zimmer will utilize Thermo Fisher expertise in the future.
