Las Vegas Sands: Conference call summary (76.32 +0.12) : Co says Macao is a supply-driven mkt, as capacity increases and the mkt continues to respond and expand. Despite new product being added, rev at Sands Macao continues to grow... Co says Cotai Strip development plans are to expand as quality product is produced and have it cater to new customers. Have accelerated schedule for two 1500-room hotel towers on two sites in Cotai, but have pushed back expected completion date on two other sites there. Expect to spend $9-11 bln total on Cotai... Co announced that Guangdong govt says approval process on Hengqin Island and in China is nearly complete. Co was given permission to say that on call and said being given permission was significant... Co says Japan could represent a great opportunity as they continue talks with govt... Co lost business at high-end gambling in Las Vegas Venetian. Says had one huge customer in same quarter 2005, and he wasn't there this quarter.
