Of course "There are many reasons some people can hold an enema longer than others" and "Retention time would indicate the time the medication was in contact with inflamed areas", but the questions weren't that generic or that simple.

Perhaps I posed them poorly. I asked...
Why would retention times vary at all given the consistent volumes?
...when I should have asked...
Why would retention times vary at all BY COHORT given the consistent volumes?

I thought that my inclusion of the table showing distinctly different (but consistent within) retention times by Cohort and the introductory question ("Does anyone understand the B-UP poster well enough to explain the Retention Time table?") would have made it clear that I wasn't asking why different INDIVIDUALS would have different retention times.

If those things didn't make it clear that I was asking cohort/poster related questions versus common sense questions I would have thought that my second question did.

I'll try harder this time:
THE TABLE*** shows a certain consistency of retention times among its subjects BY COHORT. (I hope I'm not the only one who's seeing that.)
Why?
It is the CONSISTENCY of RTs BY (within each) Cohort that I'm seeking an explanation for.
And given that consistency and the fact that enema volumes are consistent from cohort to cohort why would there be what appears to be a statistically significant difference in RTs BETWEEN cohorts?

Please refer to the poster itself:

***This is what the Table shows:
Cohort A shows 5 out of 6 subjects with RTs of over 4hrs.
Cohort B shows 4 out of 6 subjects with RTs of 30min to 1hr.
Cohort C shows 3 out of 5 subjects with RTs of over 4hrs.

ps. I did say that "The results appear to be pretty remarkable" but I didn't highlight it as your posts suggests. Reasonable explanations to the issues raised above would act to firm up that opinion.

But can it core A apple?
Yes Ralph, of course it can core A apple.
