Correct, I tried to do a transfer of share from personal account to Roth IRA Account. TDA said yes at first then no, so I researched the IRS website and that's correct no transfer of shares.

You first sell in regular account, then transfer coin over (which is limited by your age) then by shares in IRA Account.

Just pray the stock does a dip after you sell, that way go can get more shares for same coin.
