Reuters Select
All of the Company Focus ideas we present have a common pedigree, Reuters Select, which is a collection of 19 objective "models" (also known as "screens"). These screens scan our database of approximately 9,000 U.S. companies (including foreign-company ADRs) and apply tests designed by us to identify stocks that may be worthy of further attention. While we cannot guarantee that each stock profiled based on its appearance in a Reuters Select screen will be a winner, we do note that on the whole over a nearly five-year measurement period, the stocks we identified outperformed the market by a wide degree.
