Re: ECV Test Schedule

I never got a return email from Tony but I did speak with him on the phone. This is what I got from the conversation. Do not take this as gospel truth but I believe it to be an accurate representation of our conversation.

There have been many exciting press releases to date but it seems that this unit is headed straight to production with no alpha or beta testing cycle. Is this true?
There has been none to date. They are planning on making a short run of 10 full – 4 slice units before the full production run. While these are being field tested they will be tooling up for the full production run and making any changes necessary.

Have you run a complete system at the full 30kW output level for extended periods of time?
No. The decision was to only build one unit to show initial proof on concept.

If not, have you run a single slice at the full capacity of 7.5kW?
The single slice was run connected to a 7800W generator but the they did not have appropriate loads to load it to the full 7800W. The load that has been turned to date is about 5000W

Is there a test plan to produce and run a small number of these units in a real world environment?
Yes, See above.

What is the maximum theoretical output from a single slice? There are rumors on the message boards that a single slice may be able to produce the full 30kW. I believe that this would require either 4x the current flow or 4x the current pressure and it is unlikely. I would like to either support or deny these rumors because it is probably not good for the company to have information out there that is incorrect.
The maximum output of a single slice could be as high as 12.5 hp or a little under 10kW. A single slice can NOT produce 30kW as it is currently produced, it may be possible with a larger scale unit but they will be introducing the unit as designed before considering that.

Will the results of the third party testing be available online? Will these include full specifications of the output such as at 50psi and a flow of 220GPM the output will be X kilowatts (or X horsepower)
(We did not discuss this.) However, he did say that the results of the testing should be in as soon as Monday (11/6/06)

Your latest press release stated that you were getting 7.5kW at 220GPM but no pressure was stated. Your previous press releases stated that the unit could run down to 30 or 50 psi. I feel that the latest press release was somewhat misleading because it left the reader to assume that the 7.5kW at 220 GPM was at one of these pressures. By my calculations the pressure would need to be greater than 78 psi to get 7.5kW from that flow rate. Can you please comment?
(We did not discuss this) I’m not sure where this information came from because Tony stated that they had never run the unit at full load. I am waiting for the third party test results before making any more judgments on input vs. output.

Take my advice with a grain of salt. (preferably many grains distributed around the rim of a margarita glass.) I am not a stock professional, trade at your own risk!
