I'm totally new with trading. Just started this last April. I probably don't have nearly as much invested as many on this board, but taking a loss immediately is not an option for me. In the last 6 months, I've had to decide what kind of trading I would do... long, or short. Honestly, I didn't really know, I figured it would probably be short, because I don't have the stomach to watch these rollercoasters. But now, waiting a few more months with the possibility of at least coming out even seems a lot better than taking a certain loss. Essentially, I bought many different stocks, probably much higher than I should have. They are all substantially down. Even after buying recent gap shares. And have been burned by selling too early, at least three times. Literally within a single day, and even a case of two hours. It's been a tough lesson about patience, and trading with the trends (that ship sailed in mid October). I would say it's a certainty of continued loss if everyone abandon's ship at these low prices. I'm holding. It may not be the choice of experienced traders, but I guess that's a choice that everyone has to make.
